COLUMBUS, Ohio- Tom Ryan, head coach of the Ohio State wrestling team, announced the Buckeyes' 2014-15 home schedule Tuesday. Please note, all dates and times are subject to change.

"I am very excited for the Ohio wrestling community as they will have an opportunity to see this Buckeye team against the world's toughest competition," Ryan, who will enter his ninth season as head coach of the Buckeyes, said. "Our home schedule is the most competitive since I have been here. National powers Iowa, Penn State and Minnesota will provide an electric environment for our fans. Traveling to the Norwalk community for the Stieber brothers will be a thrill for everyone.

There will be so many challenges for our student-athletes, which will help prepare us for the Big Ten championships, which we host. We are also looking forward to the NCAA championships in St. Louis. Ultimately, I'm looking forward to seeing the sea of scarlet in St. John Arena as we look to win a team title."

Ohio State will host seven matches during the season and in March will welcome its Big Ten Conference counterparts for the 2015 Big Ten Championships. A competitive home schedule awaits the Scarlet and Gray as four of their 2014-15 opponents finished in the Top 15 at the 2014 NCAA championships. Additionally, five of Ohio State's upcoming opponents concluded the 2013-14 campaign with a total of 23 All-America honors.

The Buckeyes ended the 2013-14 season boasting a pair of All-Americans in Nick Heflin and Logan Stieber. Stieber will return for his final season in 2014-15 and will attempt to make history and become just the fourth wrestler to win four Division I NCAA titles in his career. Kyle Dake is the most recent student-athlete to accomplish the feat, winning from 2010-13 at Cornell. Cael Sanderson, head coach of four-time defending champion Penn State, was an NCAA champion from 1999-2002 at Iowa State. Pat Smith became the first four-time champion at Oklahoma State from 1990-92 and 1994. Stieber currently is in first place in the Ohio State all-time records book in career win percentage at .970 (90-3).

The Buckeyes' home schedule opens vs. in-state foe Kent State at 7 p.m. Nov. 13. The Golden Flashes return All-American 157-pounder Ian Miller, who defeated defending champion Derek St. John of Iowa to advance to the 2014 NCAA consolation final.

Nearly a month later, Ohio State will host Missouri at 2 p.m. Dec. 14. Drake Houdashelt, an All-American at 149 pounds and J'den Cox, the 2014 197-pound champion, return to the Tiger roster in 2014-15.

Ohio State enters the heart of the conference schedule in January, hosting Big Ten rivals Iowa and Penn State in back-to-back contests. The Buckeyes and Hawkeyes' match will take place at 2 p.m. Jan. 4 and the Scarlet and Gray and Nittany Lions will wrestle at 2 p.m. Jan. 11. Four of Iowa's six 2014 All-Americans return in 2014-15, including heavyweight and fourth-place finisher Bobby Telford. Rising senior Nico Megaludis is one of Penn State's four All-America returnees in 2014-15. Megaludis finished third at 125 pounds this past March.

The Buckeyes will host Indiana at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Ohio, before wrestling Purdue. The date and time of the match vs. the Boilermakers will be announced at a later date.

2014 NCAA runner-up Minnesota will wrestle the Buckeyes Feb. 8. A trio of Gophers in NCAA runner-up Dylan Ness (157 pounds), Logan Storley (174 pounds) and Scott Schiller (197 pounds) return from a 2013-14 team that featured seven All-Americans.

For the first time since 2004, Ohio State will host the Big Ten championships March 7-8. The Buckeyes have won the event twice, first in 1923 and then in 1951.
