COLUMBUS, Ohio - C.J. Magrum, who recently wrapped up his Ohio State wrestling career, earned 2013 NWCA All-Academic Team honors, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced Monday. Magrum has earned the honor during all four of his competition years as a Buckeye from 2010-13. (Magrum redshirted the 2008-09 season).

A three-time team captain and four-year letterwinner, the Oak Harbor, Ohio, native was a four-time NCAA championships qualifier and earned more than 80 wins during his Buckeye career. Academically, Magrum, a 2013 Big Ten Medal of Honor Finalist, also was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2010-12) and Academic All-Big Ten recipient (2010-13) as a five-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete (2009-13).

Magrum was one of 111 current and former student-athletes who earned their degrees at spring commencement in Ohio Stadium May 5. Magrum earned his bachelor's degree in communication.
