Rosselli, 1996 Olympic Team To Be Honored This Weekend

COLUMBUS, OhioLou Rosselli, Ohio State’s associate head coach and head coach of the Ohio RTC, will be honored along with the 1996 Olympic Team at this weekend’s Olympic Trials in Iowa City, Iowa.

The team reunion will take place following Session II on Saturday, April 9. Rosselli competed in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta at 51kg/114 lbs. and was a three-time U.S. Open champion in 1995, 1996 and 1999.

Rosselli recently completed his 10th season on the sidelines for the Scarlet and Gray. The 2009 National Wrestling Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year and 2014 USA Wrestling Freestyle Coach of the Year, Rosselli helped guide Ohio State to nine top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including four times in the top three.

In his role with the Ohio RTC, Rosselli mentors a group that include five athletes competing at this weekend’s trials – Logan Stieber, Kyle Snyder, Nathan Tomasello, JD Bergman and Reece Humphrey.
