Eight Buckeyes Qualify for 2014 NCAA Championships
Senior Nick Heflin earned the No. 1 seed in the 2014 NCAA Championships at 197 pounds.

COLUMBUS, Ohio– Eight members of the Ohio State wrestling team qualified for the 2014 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships the NCAA selection committee announced Wednesday. Nick Roberts (125 pounds), Johnni DiJulius (133 pounds), Logan Stieber (141 pounds), Ian Paddock (149 pounds), Mark Martin (174 pounds), Kenny Courts (184 pounds), Nick Heflin (197 pounds) and Nick Tavanello (HWT) will represent the Scarlet and Gray March 20-22 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Nick Roberts – 125 pounds
Sixth at Big Ten championships … opened season with third-place finish at Clarion Open (Nov. 3); followed that performance with fifth-place outing at Michigan State Open (Nov. 9) ... sixth at CKLV Invitational (Dec. 6-7); unseeded at CKLV Invite, defeated Nos. 6, 8, 11 and 12 seeds ... tied for second on team among starters in wins with 27 ... leads program with 7 major decisions among starters (tie) ... concluded regular season a winner of five of six matches, including a pair of falls against Brenan Lyon of Michigan State in 1:54 (Feb. 7) and 4:17 fall vs. Sean Williams of Oklahoma in NWCA National Duals (Feb. 16-17); also recorded 15-0 technical fall vs. Alfredo Gray of Kent State in second round of National Duals (Feb. 16) in that span.
