COLUMBUS, Ohio - Thirteenth-ranked Michigan won key matches at 133, 149 and 174 pounds to secure a 21-11 victory over No. 6 Ohio State before a season-high crowd of 4,307 on Saturday afternoon at St. John Arena. The Buckeyes saw their three-match winning streak come to an end while falling to 5-2 overall (2-1 B1G) while Michigan is now 6-1 (2-0 B1G).

THE SHORT STORY
Michigan won seven of 10 matches overall, including the final four, but the Buckeyes were led by redshirt sophomore Bo Jordan, who racked up bonus points on his way to a 19-4 tech fall over Garrett Sutton at 165 pounds. Other Buckeye victories came from Nathan Tomasello (125 lbs.), who stayed undefeated and ran his winning streak to 29 straight matches, and Micah Jordan, a 7-3 winner at 141 pounds.

TOMASELLO GETS THINGS STARTED
In the first match of the afternoon, Tomasello gutted out a 4-2 win over 19th-ranked Connor Youtsey, 4-2. After a scoreless first period, Tomasello got a takedown with 32 seconds remaining in the second period, escaped to start the third period and was award his fourth point on an unnecessary roughness call with 13 seconds remaining. The reigning national champion is now 11-0 on the year.

M. JORDAN WINS #14
After an upset for Michigan at 133 pounds where No. 16 Rossi Bruno upended eighth-ranked Johnni DiJulius, 4-1, Micah Jordan swung the team score back in favor of Ohio State with a 7-3 decision over George Fisher. The key moment in the match occurred at the end of the second period when Jordan, leading 3-2, scored a reversal to get a 5-2 advantage. He got a third-period takedown for his final margin of victory. A redshirt freshman, Jordan is now 14-1 on the year.

KRESEVIC BATTLES #5 MURPHY
Versatile backup Justin Kresevic, a redshirt junior, wrestled in his 14th match of the year and battled fifth-ranked Brian Murphy before dropping a 5-2 decision at 157 lbs. it was also the fourth time this year that Kresevic had appeared in a dual (vs. Virginia, Arizona State, Cleveland State and Michigan).

JORDAN SCORES BONUS POINTS
Bo Jordan, who was named the Russ Hellickson Wrestler of the Match at the conclusion of the dual, scored the only bonus-point victory of the night when he racked up 19 points on his way to a tech fall over Garrett Sutton.

Jordan wasted little time going on the offensive, scoring eight first period points and then got his third takedown of the match at the 1:24 mark of the second period. Smelling a tech fall, Jordan got four third-period takedowns and racked up nearly four minutes of riding time. The redshirt sophomore and All-American improved to 9-0 on the year with six of those coming via tech fall and fall.

U-M WINS FINAL FOUR
Ahead 11-9, Ohio State hoped that the home debut of freshman Myles Martin would ignite it the rest of the way. Instead, Michigan's Davonte Mahomes scored the one and only takedown of the match 13 seconds into sudden-victory overtime to score a 3-1 upset. It was Martin's second match as a starter after earning a 23-7 tech fall last Sunday at Illinois. The Wolverines also won by decision at 184, 197 and 285 pounds to close out the dual. Redshirt junior Nick Tavanello battled fourth-ranked and 2015 NCAA runner-up Adam Coon, giving up a late takedown before falling 4-1.

STIEBER MAKES 2015-16 DEBUT
The much-anticipated season debut of Hunter Stieber took place this afternoon as the two-time All-American dropped a hard-fought 5-3 decision against eighth-ranked Alec Pantaleo. Stieber scored each of his three points on escapes.
