Two-time Defending Champs to Start 2018 at No. 1 in Coaches Poll

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the 2018 Preseason Coaches Poll on Thursday (Dec. 7) and Ohio State can be spotted in the top slot. The No. 1 Buckeyes have won back-to-back NCAA Championships, but will need to replace four of seven graduated starters from last season’s squad. Two-time National Player of the Year, Nicolas Szerszen, returns in ’18 for his senior campaign.


COMPLETE AVCA COACHES POLL

Ohio State takes the court for the first time on January 6, playing host to the Crusaders of North Greenville University. The following weekend (Jan. 12-13) is a big one at St. John Arena, pitting the Buckeyes versus No. 8 Stanford and No. 3 BYU on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
