Ohio State Releases 2014 Schedule

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Head coach Pete Hanson and the Ohio State men's volleyball team released the 2014 schedule Tuesday. The Buckeyes are set to host 13 home matches in St. John Arena this season.
The Buckeyes open their slate on the road at the always competitive Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Invitational, Jan. 9-11, in Honolulu. The squad will face host Hawai'i, UCLA and Penn State during the three-day tournament. Ohio State then opens its home schedule hosting a pair of non-conference matches, Jan. 17-18, welcoming Lees McRae and George Mason to St. John Arena
January closes out with two MIVA conference matches on the road as the Buckeyes travel to Quincy (Jan. 24) and Lindenwood (Jan. 25). February kicks off with a match at Loyola-Chicago, Feb. 1, before Ohio State travels to non-conference rival Penn State, Feb. 5.
The team hosts five matches in St. John Arena to cap the month of February, opening with a non-conference match against Saint Francis (Feb. 9). Four-straight MIVA matches are next on the schedule in Lewis (Feb. 15), Grand Canyon (Feb. 21 and 22) and Ball State (Feb. 26).
The month of March is a busy one for the Buckeyes with the team traveling as far as California. After hosting Penn State and then playing a road match at Lewis, Ohio State will play two matches at Long Beach State (March 14-15) before returning home to host Harvard, March 18. The Buckeyes close out the season with six MIVA matches, including the regular season finale at home against Loyola-Chicago (April 11).
