COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore libero Brennan Anderson of the Ohio State men's volleyball team was placed on the Volleyball Magazine All-America Third Team, the organization announced.

Anderson led the nation with a 3.12 digs average, totaling a MIVA-best 290 on the season. That mark ranks second on Ohio State's season-only records list. Anderson notched 16 double-digit dig performances on the season, including a 24-dig showing against IPFW (Feb. 15).

The Newport Beach, Calif., product was awarded MIVA All-Conference first team accolades in April and earned MIVA Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season (Jan. 7, Feb. 18).

Anderson, along with teammates Michael Henchy and Driss Guessous, was selected to join the 22-player U.S. Men's Junior National Volleyball Training Team and will compete for a spot on the U.S. Junior National Team, June 16-20.
