COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's volleyball team has added another recruit for the 2013 season, Ohio State head coach Pete Hanson announced. Outside hitter Alex Judkins will join the team that finished 2012 with a 21-9 record and notched its sixth straight MIVA regular season title.

Judkins, a 6-6 outside hitter from Kaukauna, Wis., led Kaukauna High School to the state championship match this past November. He is a two-time First Team All-State and All-Conference honoree and has been named the Post-Crescent Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons.

"We are very glad that Alex has chosen to join our program," Hanson said. "Based on his athletic ability and skill set, we believe he will have a very successful career here at Ohio State."

A two-time team MVP, Judkins finished his high school career 969 kills, including 412 as a senior.

"Alex will have the opportunity to compete for a spot right away," Hanson added. "He will immediately add depth and size to our group of outside hitters."
