COLUMBUS, Ohio - USA Volleyball has placed Ohio State freshman setter Christy Blough on the 2014 U.S. Men's Junior National Training Team (MNTT). He is one of 21 players selected for the original roster.

The roster will be cut down to 12 before competing at the NORCECA Under-21 Continental Championship on July 28-Aug. 3 in El Salvador. The team begins training together July 13 at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.

"There are so many different ways we can put together this team," said Men's Junior Team Head Coach Bill Ferguson. "It will be very difficult (to make any cuts)."

Blough started 21 matches during his rookie campaign as a Buckeye, assisting a team-high 886 put-aways. He added 25 kills, 45 blocks and averaged 1.13 digs per set. The Ontario, N.Y., native was named a Freshman All-America by Off the Block/Sportsbak, Inc.
