COLUMBUS, Ohio – Miles Johnson was named the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, announced the conference office on Tuesday (Apr. 4). Johnson earned the same recognition three weeks in a row earlier in the year (Jan. 31-Feb. 14).

While the Buckeye opposite hitter’s overall numbers for the week were certainly impressive with 5.64 points per set and a .387 hitting percentage, his offensive output over the weekend in a MIVA regular season championship clinching series sweep over McKendree was astronomical. In two wins over the Bearcats to capture Ohio State’s 26th league title, Johnson racked up 7.33 points/set while attacking .460 with 6.17 kills/set. He was lethal from the service stripe as well, dropping in five aces in just six sets played (.83/set).

Johnson also contributed on the defensive side, posting 1.45 digs and .73 blocks per set averages.
