COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 5 Ohio State University men's volleyball team (9-2) plays host to a pair of conference opponents this week, welcoming in Lindenwood (6-5) and Quincy (8-5) on Thursday and Sunday, respectively. The Buckeyes won't play at home again until March 29.

HISTORY WITH THE LIONS & HAWKS
The Buckeyes own a combined mark of 64-2 all-time against Lindenwood and Quincy. Ohio State has arose victorious in all 10 previous contests versus the Lions since the intitial meeting not long ago in 2013. The Buckeyes have won 30 of 34 sets contested in the series. Ohio State's history with the Hawks extends much further, first competing against each other in 1993. In 56 tilts, the Buckeyes have dropped a total of just 16 sets in garnering a 54-2 overall record against Quincy.

`SUNNY' STEERING THE OFFENSE
Sanil `Sunny' Thomas is the new sheriff in town when it comes to running the Ohio State offense, taking control of full-time setting duties this season. The junior from Tinley Park, Ill., is averaging 10.71 assists per set through the first 11 matches, the second-highest average in the country.
HANES EMERGING AS LETHAL WEAPON
Redshirt freshman Jake Hanes is making waves nationally as one of the NCAA's top offensive forces through the first six weeks of the season. He has stepped into the role of opposite hitter vacated by All-American Miles Johnson's graduation, filing in admirably.
Hanes entered the week pacing the conference and among the Top-10 nationally for points, kills and aces: 4.79 points/set (3rd in NCAA), 3.97 kills/set (4th), .53 aces/set (10th).
HOME IS WHERE THE WINS ARE
St. John Arena has treated Ohio State men's volleyball well during the last 50-plus seasons, serving as the stage for a 549-104 (.841) all-time home record.
KINGS OF THE MIVA
Ohio State has hoisted a league-best 26 MIVA regular season trophies, followed by Ball State and its 21 championships. Both teams were predicted as 2018 conference favorites by some, recipients of first-place votes in the Preseason Coaches Poll:
