COLUMBUS, Ohio - Gabriel Domecus registered a dozen digs in Ohio State's road sweep at Saint Francis last week, a performance which earned him MIVA Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Jan. 24). Domecus has now picked up MIVA Defensive Player of the Week honors during three straight seasons (March 15, 2016; March 17, 2015).
In addition to the 4.00 digs per set average which helped limit the Red Flash to a .154 hitting percentage, the Buckeye libero also put forth a team-high 16 error-free service receptions to help jump start the OSU offense with a sideout percentage north of 77 percent.
