COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two incoming Ohio State men’s track and field recruits were recently named to the 2013 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boy’s Track and Field Team.
Sprinter Lamar Bruton (Wilmington, Del.) and thrower Dylan Dyke (Waverly, Ohio) both received the honor of being named to the squad.
Criteria for this honor included ranking on USA TODAY and Track and Field News national lists, the number of top performances and head-to-head competition during the regular season and in major postseason meets.
Bruton is an eight-time Delaware DII state outdoor champion as well as a five-time state indoor champion. He holds the Delaware state record in the 400m (46.21) and was named the 2013 Gatorade Delaware Boys Track Athlete of the Year.
Dyke was the OHSAA DII state champion in the shot put in both 2012 and 2013. He also was the 2012 and 2013 OATCCC DII/III state champion in the shot put and weight throw.
