Bruton Represents Team USA at the World Junior Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Freshman LaMar Bruton represented Team USA at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., last month.
Bruton helped the U.S. 4x400-meter relay team to the world junior championship in a time of 3:03.31 and placed sixth as an individual in the 400-meter dash. The New Castle, Del., product was runner-up in the 400-meter at the 2014 USATF Junior Championships.
In his first season with the Buckeyes in 2014, Bruton was a Second Team All-American as a member of the Buckeyes' 4x400-meter relay team and an Honorable Mention Outdoor All-American in the 400-meter dash. He was a member of Ohio State's Big Ten indoor champion 4x400-meter relay team and finished fourth as an individual in the 400-meter dash at the conference outdoor meet. He closed the year with a 3.63 GPA and was an OSU Scholar Athlete and USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree.
