Six Buckeyes Oregon Bound for NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s track and field team will be represented by six athletes in five events at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships taking place Wednesday-Saturday, June 11-14, in Eugene, Ore.
The Buckeyes will compete in four individual events, including the 200m, 400m, 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles, as well as in the 4x400m relay competition. Semifinal action in each event is set for Wednesday or Thursday with the chance to qualify for the finals taking place Friday or Saturday.

Jordan Rispress – 400-Meter Hurdles Semifinals – 9:15 p.m. ET (Finals Friday at 7:33 p.m. ET)
Timothy Faust – 200-Meters Semifinals – 7:00 p.m. ET (Finals Saturday at 5:42 p.m. ET)

Last Time Out: 2014 NCAA East Preliminary Championships
The Ohio State men’s track and field team witnessed athletes advance to the national championships Friday and Saturday evening at the 2014 NCAA East Regional Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla.
Freshman LaMar Bruton posted a PR-time of 46.02 seconds in the 400-meter run to finish third in his heat and become the first Buckeye to advance on to the NCAA championship rounds.
The second Buckeye to punch his ticket to Eugene was senior Jordan Rispress in the 400-meter hurdles. The Columbus native ran a personal-best time of 50.86 seconds.
Highlighting the final night of competition at the three-day regional preliminary was the Buckeyes 4x400-meter relay team. Seniors Javon Walker and Rispress, sophomore Armand Austin and Bruton combined to place second in their first-round heat in a season-best time of 3:04.15, the fifth-fastest time in school outdoor history.
Sophomore Donovan Robertson earned the first outdoor national championship invitation of his Buckeye career, finishing third in his quarterfinal heat and sixth overall in a personal-best time of 13.70 seconds, the third-fastest time in Ohio State history.
Junior Timothy Faust secured a bid in the 200-meter dash, finishing third in his quarterfinal heat and sixth overall in a time of 20.65.
