Huber Heights, Ohio

Demoye Bogle, a senior on the Ohio State men's track and field team, will finish his career as one of the top hurdlers in program history. The Huber Heights native holds the school record in the 60-meter hurdles. He recently broke his own record when he ran a time of 7.65 at the Buckeye Classic, which earned him Big Ten Athlete of the Week honors. Bogle is a three-time Second Team All-American as well as a two-time Honorable Mention All-American.

    Student Life
    Do you prefer the Oval in the Fall or Spring (or maybe the Winter)? - I prefer "Oval Beach" in the Spring because there are more people out at any time of the day, laying out and doing homework, reading or playing some type of sport.
    Where is the best place to sit for lectures? The best place to sit for lectures I would say is Independence Hall. It's very large and has the space to accommodate a large number of students.
    Why did you choose to major in Criminology? I chose the major I am in because I like to help people. Ever since I was a little kid I always told myself I would help people in some way, shape or form.
    Describe your first day as a student at The Ohio State University. It was filled with excitement and nervousness, but I was eager to begin training and to meet new people.

    Favorite athletic memory - Being able to say at one point I was No. 1 in the 60 meter hurdle in the world
    Team you're most looking forward to competing against - Illinois
    What is your top skill? What skill do you need to improve? - My athletic ability is my top skill and the skill I need to work on is swimming. I cannot swim to save my life.

    Most interesting place I've visited - Jamaica
    Place I would like to visit - I would like to go to Fiji.

    Favorite home cooked meal - Curry Chicken
    Guilty pleasure snack and/or food - Honey buns and cinnamon rolls

    People I most admire - My mom and my cousin Alex. They both motivate me in different ways for both track and school.
    In 10 years, I would like to be - Established in my career, running professionally and married
    If I had a million dollars, I would - Pay off my bills, give to a worthy charity and take a 2 week vacation with my mom
    I would like to trade places for a day with - Usain Bolt, just to view his lifestyle through his eyes
    Best piece of advice you've received - That I cannot change people, I can only change myself, but always keep praying, read my bible, trust in god and everything happens for a reason.
    If you could have dinner with any 3 people (alive or dead), who would they be? President Obama, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X
    Dream event (non-sport or sport-related) you would like to attend? The 2016 Olympics
    If your parents/guardians bragged about you, what would they say? That I am handsome, smart, athletically built and that I attend The Ohio State University.
    Who tweets too much on your team? I would have to say Jordan Rispress. He is always on his phone.
    Do you have an interesting nickname? Demoyeaa, Demoo, Moye Moye.
    What is your hometown known for? My hometown is known for its food, music and the people and that there is never a boring day.
    Cats or Dogs? I prefer a dog.
    Early Bird or Night Owl? I am an early bird kind of person. I always find myself getting up early.
    Would you be the O, H, I or the O? I would be the H because it represents the handsomeness of Ohio, and I think I am handsome.
