Peter Kobelt Will Represent USA at Master'U BNP Paribas

“This is a great opportunity for Peter to represent the Unites States on the courts in France,” head coach Ty Tucker said. “He has had a great career and we look forward to Peter’s senior year. He deserves this opportunity and I know he is excited.”
Kobelt is 8-4 in singles play and while pairing with Kevin Metka for doubles, the duo is 15-3 on the fall season, consisting of the ITA All-American Championships which took place Sept 30. through Oct. 6, the Midwest Regional Oct. 17-21 as well as the ITA Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 7-10. The two-time ITA All-American, Kobelt won the ITA Midwest Regional singles title, while the OSU pair also claimed the doubles regional crown in Columbus.
The United States will compete against teams from Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Russia in a bracket-style team competition, with each match consisting of two men’s and two women’s singles matches, one women’s and one men’s doubles match and a mixed doubles match.
Last year, the U.S. won its third Master’U title, the others coming in 2011 and 2009.
