Buckeyes look for new 'pool' of leaders
Sept. 12, 2012
The Buckeyes are back in action after a busy summer of off-season swimming. From the U.S. Olympic Trials in July to the U.S. Open in August, members of the men's swimming and diving team have traveled around the country representing The Ohio State University.
Now the contingent returns home to McCorkle to usher in a new era of Buckeye swimming. After losing some prominent leadership to graduation last season, head coach Bill Wadley is on the lookout for a fresh, reinvigorated group of team leaders.
"So far we have been working on our leadership development and team building," Wadley said. "The team has done a high ropes course and other leadership initiatives."
The group also received a visit from Ohio State's top leader, university president E. Gordon Gee. President Gee even took time to pose for a few photos during practice.
