Bloomington, Indiana - Ohio State divers Bianca Alvarez and Shane Miszkiel have qualified for the NCAA swimming and diving championships through their performances at the NCAA Zone Diving meet at Indiana University.
Alvarez was the top scorer in the Zone meet in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions. Her score of 643.85 won the 1-meter event. Her mark of 772.45 was the best score in the 3-meter contest. She will compete at the NCAA women's championships March 15-17 at Auburn.
Miszkiel, with a score of 766.65, finished second in the Zone meet in the 3-meter competition. He was fifth in the 1-meter event with a score of 680.85. He has qualified for the NCAA men's championships March 22-24 in Seattle.
