Trebilcock Sets School Record at Georgia Tech Last Chance Meet

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Garrett Trebilcock made the most of his final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, setting a school record in the 100 backstroke at Georgia Tech’s Last Chance Meet in Atlanta, Ga.
Tebilcock clocked a 45.92 in the event, besting the previous mark of 46.01 by Andrew Elliott in 2011. His time is an NCAA “B” cut and puts his in good position to qualify for the event at the NCAA Championships, which will be held March 27-29 in Austin, Texas.
Teammate Ryan Bubb also swam in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 48.38, which is an NCAA “B” cut.
Senior Alex Miller competed in the 1650 freestyle, finishing with a time of 15:08.72 in the finals, which is also a NCAA “B” cut.
