As a junior (2016): Made his first career appearance at an NCAA Championship meet, swimming in the 400 and 800 freestyle relays … swam in the championship heat in three individual events at 2016 Big Ten Championships: 100 and 200 backstroke as well as the 200 IM, finishing 7th, 6th, and 8th respectively … CSCAA Scholar All-American … fastest 200 freestyle time on the team in 2015-16 (1:44.44) and second-fastest in the 100 freestyle, 100 and 200 backstroke … 15 top-three event finishes as a junior … qualified for 2016 Olympic Trials
As a freshman (2014): Recorded the team's third-fastest time in the 200 backstroke (1:45.05) ... competed at the Big Ten championships, posting season-best times in the 200 backstroke (1:45.05) and 200 individual medley (1:49.58) ... swam to a first-place finish with the 200 freestyle relay at the Ohio State Winter Invite (1:26.23) ... touched first vs. Wright State in the 100 backstroke (51.17).
