June 10, 2013
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's soccer team released its 2013 schedule Monday. Under the direction of head coach John Bluem, who is in his 17th season with the Buckeyes, the Scarlet and Gray will face nine teams from the NCAA Tournament a year ago and a total of five in-state foes. Ohio State will cap off an 11-game regular-season home schedule by hosting the Big Ten Tournament Nov. 13-17 on Bert L. and Iris S. Wolstein Field at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
"We have another challenging and exciting schedule for the year ahead," Bluem said. "Big Ten play is always tough and we have five non-conference games against teams from last year’s NCAA tournament too. I think the exhibition games will give us a good early look at a team full of new players and then we enter the season viewing at each and every game as an opportunity for success. Ending the year by hosting the conference tournament is an honor and we look forward to showcasing our field and our fans to the Big Ten."
Admission to all regular-season home games at JOMS is free. Stay tuned to OhioStateBuckeyes.com for any schedule changes, as well as home promotional activities as they become announced. Big Ten Tournament info will be posted once available.
