Appeared in 18 matches with four starts as a true freshman … led all freshman with three points on one goal and one assist … recorded 15 shots with six on target … made collegiate debut with 41 minutes in home opening win over Pitt (Aug. 25) … had a season-high three shots, including two on target in 39 minutes off the bench at Northwestern (Sept. 8) … scored first collegiate in 3-0 win over Penn State (Sept. 12) … had an assist in first collegiate start in home match vs. Syracuse (Oct. 18) … had a season-high 76 minutes in the 2-1 upset win over Michigan State (Nov. 5).

Prior to Ohio State 
Played for Club Ohio and was team captain ... named a 2016 NSCAA High School All-American, 2016 Central District Player of the Year, two-time All-Region selection, three-time All-State selection, two-time Super 12 selection, four-time first team all-district selection, four-time First Team All-CCL selection, three-time varsity captain and  four-time letterwinner ... also was Bishop Hartley Student Government President, Student Ambassador, National Honors Society Member, Honor Roll, Safety Commission, First 15 Leadership Group founding member and Kairos Retreat Leader.

Son of Scott and Renee Bergman ... has two sisters, Abigail and Emma ... mechanical engineering major ... would like to play professional soccer after graduation or work in the field of mechanical engineering ... enjoys golf, soccer and tennis ... lists greatest sports thrill as winning Bishop Hartley's first men's soccer district title and being named a high school All-American.
