COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Robby Haus and Charlie Schnider, who will join the Ohio State men's lacrosse program as freshmen this fall, will compete for Team South at the 2012 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. The game will be played at 8 p.m. Saturday at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md., and will be televised live by ESPNU.
Under Armour All-Americans are selected by a panel of lacrosse experts from Inside Lacrosse Magazine. The year-long selection process includes input from college and high school coaches from across the country as well as nominations from the public.
Haus, a defenseman from Lutherville, Md., is a graduate of Gilman School where he was a three-year starter on defense and had 99 career groundballs. As a senior and captain he recorded 33 groundballs and one assist as the squad was 13-5. He was a two-time first team All-Metro and All-MIAA selection and was a second team all-state choice. He was ranked in the Top 50 on the Inside Lacrosse Young Gun Seniors list.
Schnider is a midfielder who played at Landon School and hails from Bethesda, Md. He had 38 points, with 19 goals and 19 assists, as a senior, helping the squad to a 19-3 ledger and IAC title. A two-time All-Metro and all-conference choice and an honorable mention all-state honoree, he was his team's Offensive MVP. On the Lacrosse Young Gun Seniors list, Schnider was slated No. 28.
