Bjorkung, Lampasso and Miller Commit to Buckeye Hockey Program
Head coach Steve Rohlik has added three skaters to the Buckeye hockey freshman class for this fall.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Steve Rohlik, head coach of the Ohio State men’s hockey team, announced forwards Christian Lampasso and Kevin Miller and defenseman Victor Bjorkung have committed to Ohio State and the men’s hockey program. The trio is expected to enroll in Ohio State for autumn semester, joining forwards Nick Jones, Luke Stork and Matt Weis and defenseman Janik Möser, who signed National Letters of Intent during the fall.

Stockholm, Sweden/Chicago Steel (USHL)
Began playing in the United States Hockey League in 2012-13 … spent 2013-14 with the Chicago Steel, playing in 40 games and posting 19 points, with six goals and 13 assists … USHL career started with the Fargo Force, playing in 26 games, with five assists and six points, before joining the Sioux Falls Stampede … skated in 34 games with the Stampede, recording five goals and 11 assists for 16 points, along with a +15 rating … won junior Swedish championship … played with Djurgården program in Sweden for two years before moving to the USHL.

Completed two seasons in the United States Hockey League … skated in 57 with the Lincoln Stars in 2013-14, scoring 16 goals and adding 24 assists for 40 points to tie for second on the team in scoring … in 2012-13, played 13 games in Des Moines, with eight goals (four gamewinners) and 10 points and a +9 rating … traded to Sioux City and had a 7-7-14 line in 40 games … spent 2011-12 with the Green Mountain Glades in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and had 31 points, with 16 goals and 15 assists, in 43 games … played with Honeybaked Hockey Club for three seasons.

Spent 2013-14 with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, ranking third on the team with 54 points in the regular season, including 21 goals and 33 assists, while playing 56 games … shared team’s playoff MVP award after leading the squad with 17 points (10g, 7a) in 17 postseason games as the team lost in game seven of the North Division final … began 2012-13 with the Nanaimo Clippers in the British Columbia Hockey League and had nine points, with seven assists, in 31 games before a trade to Fort McMurray … played in 13 games for the Oil Barons, with two goals and seven assists for nine points … skated with the St. Albert Raiders Midget AAA in 2010-11 and 2011-12 … played four AJHL games with the Spruce Grove Saints (three in 2011-12, one in 2010-11).
