COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Curtis Gedig, who just wrapped up his four-year career with the Ohio State men's hockey team, signed an ATO with the AHL Albany Devils over the weekend. Gedig was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 7th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (No. 204).
Gedig, from West Kelowna, British Columbia, served as the Buckeyes' captain in 2013-14, playing in 33 games and recording two goals, eight assists and 10 points, with a +4 rating and 54 blocked shots. He skated in 133 games for the Scarlet and Gray and had 51 points, with seven goals and 44 assists, along with a +11 rating.
The Albany Devils return to action with home games Friday, Saturday and Sunday before closing the regular season April 18 on the road and April 19 at home. Former Buckeye Rod Pelley is also on the team's roster.
