Matt Johnson, a junior forward on the Ohio State men's hockey team, has played in 15 games this season, recording five points on two goals and three assists. He has skated in 78 games as a Buckeye and has 10 goals, nine assists and 19 points in his career, along with a +5 rating. A native of Stillwater, Minn., who played junior hockey with the Tri-City Storm in the United States Hockey League before coming to Ohio State, Johnson is a consumer and family financial services major. Johnson and the Buckeyes return to action this weekend with two games vs. Michigan State in Value City Arena. The series is the first between the teams as Big Ten Conference foes, as men's hockey was added as an official conference sport this season.

    Do you prefer the Oval in the Fall or Spring (or maybe the Winter)? Spring for sure
    Where is the best place to sit for lectures? Middle of the class is where I try to sit most of the time
    Most underrated place to study on campus? My truck
    Why did you choose to major in consumer and family financial services? Because my dad is in the business industry and we are identical (we have been called brothers before)
    If you were the University President for a day, what would you do? Drive one of those carts all over campus with a mega phone and say hi to everyone
    Describe your first day as a student at The Ohio State University? Very lost and confused, but excited and amazed at the same time

    Pre-game superstition/ritual - I put my right skate on before my left and the same with everything else
    What is your top skill? What skill do you need to improve? - My top skill would be hitting. I need to improve on my hands
