Brian Unverferth came to the Ohio State performance staff after spending two years as a student intern for Buckeye football and men's and women's basketball. The 2014-15 campaign is his fourth season as the Buckeye hockey team's strength and conditioning coach.

He has worked with several professional teams including the Columbus Crew and Columbus Blue Jackets. While pursuing his undergraduate degree he spent time interning as a performance specialist at the High Intensity Training Center.

Unverferth received a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Ohio State. While pursuing his degree he served as a graduate teaching associate for the exercise science department at Ohio State from 2008-10.
