Jeff Deits MA, AT, CSCS, CES, PES is in his second stint as an athletic trainer for the men's hockey program at Ohio State. Deits spent three years (2007-10) with the Buckeye hockey program before he joined the staff at Wichita State for three years. He returned to Ohio State in Summer 2013.

He earned his master of arts degree in sport humanities from Ohio State in 2009 and a bachelor of science in sport and exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training from Northern Colorado in 2007. Deits currently holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist. In addition to his responsibilities with the men's hockey program, Deits also is the athletic trainer for the Buckeyes' women's golf team. Prior to Ohio State, he has also had internships with the Central Hockey League's Colorado Eagles and the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.

Deits lives in Columbus with his wife, Amanda, and children, Claire, Chloe, and Aubrey.
