Give to Ohio State Men's Gymnastics
Dear Friends of Ohio State Men's Gymnastics:
The 2017 season was an immaculate one. We claimed our second-straight Big Ten title and we recorded a second-place showing at the NCAA Championships, our highest finish since 2005. During the 2016-17 academic year, 10 of our men earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, eight of which also garnered CGA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades. We have four of our five All-Americans returning to our 2018 squad from the runner-up finish from last season: Sean Melton, Alec Yoder, David Szarvas and Joey Bonanno. In 2017, Melton became only the third Buckeye in program history to win back-to-back Big Ten conference titles in the all-around joining the likes of Blaine Wilson and Randy Monahan. All in all, the 2017 season was spectacular; Ohio State recorded an overall record of 23-4, including a near perfect record in the Big Ten (13-1).
Looking ahead, we have broken ground on our brand new state of the art competition venue called the Covelli Center. This is expected to be finished by the fall of 2019 and should be ready for us to pack the house and compete in for our 2020 season.
With continued financial support, together we can ensure the future success and security of our program while providing current and future gymnasts with the best training opportunities possible here at The Ohio State University. I would personally like to invite everyone to become a part of the Stronger Together Program. Together our potential is unlimited and your membership truly makes a difference.
