USA Gymnastics Release
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Brandon Wynn, a former All-American (2008-11) on the Ohio State men's gymnastics team, claimed an eighth place finish with an 82.650 in the all-around final at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. The two-time defending U.S. rings champion will now prepare to compete in the rings final at 4:40 p.m. ET today at the Nissan Gymnastics Stadium in the Lopez Mateos Sports Complex.
"Coming to this meet and getting into an event final has been an honor," Wynn said of his prospects for the still rings final. "So I'm going to throw it all in and see what happens tomorrow."
Wynn posted the highest-ranked score on the rings event with a 15.200 mark en route to the Top 10 finish in the all-around final.
