Former Buckeye Brandon Wynn to Compete at 2013 World Gymnastics Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Buckeye Brandon Wynn will compete at the 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 at the Antwerp Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium.
The Voorhees, N.J., native opens competition Monday, participating in the first subdivision of the qualification round on rings before continuing the meet Tuesday with the fourth subdivision qualification round on parallel bars.
A three-time U.S. Champion on rings, Wynn will compete to advance to the finals of both events. The apparatus finals for rings will be held Oct. 5, while the apparatus finals for parallel bars will be held Oct. 6.
Wynn will represent Team USA along with Alex Naddour, Jake Dalton, John Orozco, Sam Mikulak and Steven Legendre. The 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships is an individual competition, as medals are only awarded to individuals in the years following the Olympic Games.
