July 6, 2012
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Brandon Wynn, a former member of the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team, finished second on rings at the U.S. Olympic Trials June 30 in San Jose, Calif. Wynn, a two-time NCAA and U.S. rings champion, concluded the elite event tied for ninth in the all-around competition with a four-day combined score of 348.800, including an 87.35 in the finals of the Trials.
“I am very proud of what Brandon did last weekend,” Ohio State head coach Rustam Sharipov said. “It was a tough competition. Brandon demonstrated high level of gymnastics and I think right now he will take a small break and move forward.”
