COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State men's golf senior Alex Redfield was named to the PING All-Midwest Region team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America, Wednesday.
The honor is Redfield's first of his career. The Columbus product led the squad all season and finished with stroke average of 74.38 for a team low. Redfield totaled nine rounds under par, including three in the 60s, to lead the Buckeyes.
Highlighting the season was Redfield's first collegiate win, coming in the fall at the Marshall Invitational. He captured the individual title with a 9-under 204 and led the Buckeyes to a team win. Redfield concluded the year with seven Top 20 finishes, including two in the top 5.
