Timko Named PING All-Midwest Region Honoree

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men’s golf sophomore Boo Timko was honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America and named to the PING All-Midwest Region, the organization announced Tuesday. The honor is the first of Timko’s career.

The Girard, Ohio, product led the Buckeyes with a 72.96 stroke average over 32 rounds played this season. Timko totaled a team-best 10 rounds under par, including five in the 60s. He finished in the Top 20 seven times over 11 tournaments played with three finishes in the Top 5. Among those was a runner-up finish at the Northwestern Spring Invitational with a season-low 208.

Timko was also honored by the Big Ten for his efforts this season and earned Second Team All-Big Ten accolades.
