COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State's Boo Timko and Frederik Hammer have been selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the Division-I PING All-Midwest Regional Team. The Buckeye duo are two of 157 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - to earn all-region honors for 2014.
Timko paced Ohio State with a 72.94 average in 36 rounds played while contributing to the team tally 35 times. He dipped under par on 10 occasions, including seven rounds in the 60s. Timko placed in the top-20 in half of the 12 tournaments. He ascended to the top-5 twice.
Hammer was second on the team with a 75.63 clip in 35 rounds played. He was a co-medalist at the 2014 Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. His most impressive round may have came at the NCAA Columbia Regional, however, firing a collegiate course-record 64 at The Club at Hawthorne.
