The Ohio State men's golf team shot a score of 844 (+4) to tie for ninth place with Georgia Southern at the end of the SunTrust Gator Invitational this weekend Feb. 10-11 in Gainesville, Fla. at the University of Florida Golf Course (par 70, 6,300 yards).%^$

Mike Austin (Sr., Burton, Mich./ Flint Powers Catholic) led for the Buckeyes, scoring 65-71-72=208 (- 2), to stand in 15th place. The University of Florida won the tournament shooting 269-276-265=810. Camilo Benedetti from the Universtiy of Florida was the medalist shooting a 14-under-par total of 196.%^$

Ryan Dennis (Jr., Stow, Ohio/ Walsh Jesuit) ended the tournament in 29th place shooting a three round total of 211. Jason Oien (Jr., New Albany, Ohio/ Westerville North) finished in a tie for 32nd place, scoring 74-70-68=212. David Wagenseller (Jr., Wilmington, Ohio/ Wilmington) took 38th place with a total score of 214 and Chris Emanuel (Sr., Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa) finished with a score of 222 for 67th place.%^$

The Buckeyes will compete again March 5-7 at the Matlock Collegiate Classic in Lakeland, Fla.
