Play Finishes at Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Ohio State men’s golf team finished 14th with a score of 876 to conclude the 54-hole Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Tuesday on the par 71, 7,068-yard Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas.
Oklahoma State captured the team title with a 10-under 842. Iowa’s Ian Vandersee won the individual crown with a 7-under 206.
Sophomore Boo Timko led the Buckeyes with a 5-over 218 to finish tied for 44th. Freshman Michael Bernard carded a 9-over 222, while a trio of Buckeyes in Grant Weaver, Tee-K Kelly and Max Rosenthal concluded with a 10-over 223.
The Buckeyes take a couple months off before kicking off the spring season at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in Sarasota, Fla., Feb. 8-9
