Buckeyes Finish First Two Rounds at Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team finished the first day of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Monday with a 585 for 14th after 36 holes played on the par 71, 7,068-yard Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. Texas Tech leads the field of 14 teams with a 557 over two rounds played. SMU’s Maxime Blandin is first among all student-athletes with a 9-under 133. Sophomore Boo Timko and freshman Max Rosenthal finished tied for 38th to lead the squad. Each totaled four birdies on the day to finish with a 3-over 145. Freshmen Tee-K Kelly and Michael Bernard each carded a 149 over 36 holes. Kelly had a team-high eight birdies on the day. Sophomore Grant Weaver rounded out the lineup with a 152.
