COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team completed their fall slate with a 15th-place finish at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational. The Buckeyes had a tough time handling one of the most challenging courses in the country, recording a 934 on the par 72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla.

Freshman Grant Weaver led the Buckeyes each day of the competition, completing the tournament 10-over 226 and tied for 32nd. Following close behind tied for 35th-place, senior Dan Charen completed the course 11-over 227. 

Senior Alex Redfield tallied a 21-over 237, which placed him tied for 59th, while freshman Boo Timko finished in 71st with a 244. Junior Jamie Sindelar also competed for Ohio State, recording a 278.

Texas’ Jordan Spieth finished on top of the player leader board with an impressive 11-under 205, while the Longhorns won the overall team competition  (8-under, 856).

With the conclusion of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, Ohio State wraps up competition until February. The Buckeyes will return to action Feb. 10-11 with the Big Ten Match Play Championships, location to be announced.
