Buckeyes Ninth after Round One of Windon Memorial

COLUMBUS, Ohio -The Ohio State men's golf team carded a 22-over 306 for ninth following one round played at the Windon Memorial Sunday. The 15-team field began the second round in the afternoon, but play was suspended on the par 71, 7,081-yard Skokie Country Golf Course due to darkness.
Host Northwestern lead the field following the first round after finishing with an 8-over 292. Wildcat John Callahan finished with a 2-under 69 to sit in first individually.
Leading Ohio State is sophomore Grant Weaver with a 4-over 75, placing him tied for 18th. Highlighting his first round was an eagle on the par 5 No. 7.
A trio of Buckeyes in sophomore Boo Timko and freshmen Max Rosenthal and Michael Bernard finished with a 6-over 77 to tie for 37th. Freshman Tee-K Kelly carded an 8-over 79, tying for 56th place. Sophomore Logan Jones is competing as an individual and is tied for 68th with an 81.
The continuation of the second round will take place Monday morning followed by the third and final round in Glencoe, Ill.
