Ohio State Leads Field at Wolf Run Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio –Behind the play of sophomore Boo Timko and freshman Tee-K Kelly, the Ohio State men’s golf team finished day one of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in first with a 2-under 566 over 36 holes played. The 54-hole tournament is being played on the par 71, 7,195-yard Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind.
Timko concluded the day in a tie for first, carding 7-under 135. The Girard, Ohio, product opened with a 69 and followed with a career-low 66 to finish the day. Kelly finished tied for fifth with a 2-under 140 after tallying rounds of 68 and 72. His first round score of 68 was a season low.
Sophomore Grant Weaver came into the clubhouse tied for 11th with rounds of 73 and 70 for a 1-over 143. Freshman Michael Bernard finished with a 6-over 148 and is tied for 33rd, while senior Matt Turner is tied for 58th with a 10-over 152.
The third and final round starts Sunday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
