Hammer Sets Course Record on Final Day of NCAA Regional

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Freshman Frederik Hammer was locked in on Saturday setting a new collegiate course record at The Club of Old Hawthorne by firing a 64 on the final day of the NCAA Columbia Regional. Overall, the Buckeyes placed 12th in the team standings with a 23-over 887 to conclude the 2013-14 season.
Hammer dipped under par eight times in the final go-around, including an eagle on Hole 8. The Dane shot 221 (+5) for the weekend, placing 43rd on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Tee-k Kelly was Ohio State's top performer in the event, earning a share of 41st place. He wrapped up the Regional with his best round, carding a 71 on the final day. His three-round total was 220 (+5).
Second Team All-Big Ten selection Boo Timko was next on the scoreboard, joining Hammer and Kelly in the top-50 with a piece of 49th place. The Ohio native posted scores of 77-76-70 to finish 7-over.
