Buckeyes Enter Final Round of Big Tens in Fifth Place

COLUMBUS, Ohio - After completing the third round of play Saturday at the 2014 Big Ten Championships, the Ohio State men's golf team maintains a fifth-place standing with a 45-over 909 total. The Buckeyes carded a 25-over 313 in the third round alone with wind playing a factor on the par 72, 7,152-yard Pete Dye Course at the French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind.
Sophomore Tee-k Kelly will carry a score of 8-over 224 into the final round of play Sunday. The Wheaton, Ill., native, is tied for sixth in the individual rankings after putting forth a 6-over 78 performance in the third. For the tournament, Kelly holds a line of 75-71-78, with eight birdies totaled.
A stroke back from Kelly is Buckeye junior Boo Timko, who recorded a 7-over 79 for the day Timko's three-round total is 9-over 225, while he is currently tied for ninth individually.
Freshman Addison Coll shot Ohio State's lowest third round score with a 5-over 77 for 29th place. A native of Arlington, Va., Coll posted three birdies to bring his total to seven for the tournament.
Logan Jones and Frederik Hammer also represented the Buckeyes. Jones, a junior this season, ranks 36th with a 16-over 232 total. In the third, the Dublin, Ohio product secured a 9-over 81. Hammer, on the other hand, is 20-over 236 with a 7-over 20 posted today. Individually, Hammer is tied for 49th.
The fourth and final of the Big Ten championships begins Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The Buckeyes will tee off between 8 and 8:32 a.m.
