WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – At the start of the day, 36 holes didn’t seem possible but Mother Nature allowed for the first two round of the Boilermaker Invitational on the Kampen Course on Saturday to be played the Buckeyes survived the northern spring conditions.

Ohio State had a tough opening round of 303 in off and on rain but warm temperatures. The afternoon round saw temperatures dip into the 40s and the wind picked up. Yet the Buckeyes posted the second-lowest team score of the afternoon with a 292. They sit in 14th place at 19-over par.

Will Voetsch made three birdies in his first five holes in the afternoon and played solid golf the rest of the way to post a 2-under 70. He is 2-over through 36 holes and tied for 20th.

Jeg Coughlin III posted a pair of consistent rounds of 74-73 and is tied for 30th. Caleb Ramirez, who is playing as an individual, is just a shot behind Coughlin III at 4-over as he opened with an even-par 72 and carded a 76 in the afternoon.

Redshirt-senior Josh Wick posted back-to-back rounds of 75 and it 6-over through 36 holes. Daniel Wetterich returned with rounds of 78-76 and Will Grimmer bounced-back from a first round 81 with a second round 74.

Sunday’s final round is set for a 9:30 a.m. ET time shotgun start. The Buckeyes are starting on holes 12-15 and are paired with Western Kentucky and Miami (Ohio). Rain is in the forecast once again on Sunday with temperatures hovering around 50 degrees.
