KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Daniel Wetterich closed out the 2017 Irish Creek Intercollegiate carding a 1-under 70, posting no rounds worse than even par throughout the competition (71-70-70). His 2-under total garnered a share of 10th place among 93 players, marking the second Top-10 performance of Wetterich’s first season as a Buckeye. The Cincinnati native tied for 10th in the Bearcat Invitational (Sept. 26-27) as well.
Wetterich also finished atop the OSU lineup contingent in the previous event, tying for 19th at the Linger Longer Invitational (March 19-21). He is now riding a three-tournament streak of Top-25 showings.
Will Grimmer cracked the top half of the Irish Creek Intercollegiate leaderboard, coming in at T-42nd on scores of 68-76-74 (+5). Caden Orewiler ended on a high note, dipping under par with a 70 on the final day and leaping 23 slot up the individual standings into a piece of 54th place (76-74-70). Josh Wick chipped into the team tally in all three rounds, rattling off scores of 74-73-75 (+9).
