Buckeyes Third after Two Rounds at Seahawk Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio - With 5-over 581 carded over two rounds of play, the Ohio State men's golf team stands in a third-place tie Sunday at the Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. Held on the par 72, 6,671-yard Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall, the tournament will continue Monday with the playing of the third and final round.
Tee-k Kelly, a sophomore this season, led the Scarlet and Gray individually with a 2-under 142 performance. In the first round of play, Kelly dropped a career-low 67. He progressed into the second with a 3-over 75. In the standings, Kelly is tied for sixth.
Next in the standings is freshman Frederik Hammer, who will enter the final round in 13th-place. Hammer carded a 1-over 145 overall. He was followed closely by teammate Boo Timko. Timko, a junior standout for the Buckeyes, held onto 18th with a 2-over 146.
Donning the Scarlet and Gray as individuals were Logan Jones and Michael Bernard. Jones, a junior this season, dropped an even 72 in each of the first two rounds for an even 144 total. He is ranked 10th in the individual standings. Bernard, on the other hand, posted a 12-over 156 for 56th place.
