Ohio State Improves on Day Two of Puerto Rico Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's golf team moved into 12th at the Puerto Rico Classic after posting a second round score of 6-over 294 Monday on the par 72, 6,902-yard River Course at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, P.R. The Buckeyes are now 22-over 598 for the tournament.
Alabama and Oklahoma are tied for first with a 19-under 557. Oklahoma's Eduardo Castiello and Virginia Tech's Mikey Moyers lead the individual race as both are tied for first with a 7-uner 137.
Freshman Max Rosenthal continued to lead the Buckeyes on the second day and is tied for 22nd with an even 144. The Eden Prairie, Minn., product carded a 2-under 70 on the day and had a team-best four birdies in the round.
Sophomore Boo Timko is tied for 48th after rounds of 76 and 74, while freshman Michael Bernard is tied for 53rd with a 7-over 151 (77-74). Freshman Tee-k Kelly finished with a 76 on the day and has a two-day total of 153, while sophomore Grant Weaver has two-round score of 155.
The final round of the Puerto Rico Classic starts Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
