Buckeyes Finish First Round of Puerto Rico Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team finished the first day of the Puerto Rico Classic Sunday with a 304 for 14th on the par 72, 6,902-yard River Course at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, P.R. Alabama leads the field of 15 teams with a 279 after the first round of play. Clemson’s Billy Kennerly is first among all student-athletes with a 5-under 67. Freshman Max Rosenthal finished tied for 36th to lead the squad with a 2-over 74. Sophomore Boo Timko finished with a 4-over 76 and teammates Tee-k Kelly and Michael Bernard both carded a 5-over 77.
